Remembranch: Casual-tree of The Industrial Revolution (Additional Views) steel, paste wax, gun blue agent, wool yarn wool roving, t-shirt yarn, old clothes Installed on the University of Iowa campus near Frank Getty's steel laboratory building. I made this piece to commemorate the trees felled making steel in the Industrial Revolution. About 240 acres were cut for each year of steel production of one foundry. |
