Bio:

 

Tessa Sutton is a visual artist, teacher and arts administrator who recently moved back to the Midwest after a long roost in New York City.  She has exhibited in the U.S. and some internationally.  She has attended artist residencies in Italy and South Africa including a teaching workshop in 1999.  In 2006, she received her MFA from the California College of the Arts in painting and drawing.  She has worked at Cooper Union, Pratt Institute and the California College of the Arts in higher ed. arts administration.  Having taught students of all ages in a museum, public schools and a women’s correctional facility, she is now working on receiving a teaching certificate in K-12 Art Education with an endorsement in Secondary Social Studies at the College of Education, University of Iowa.
